Suits LA' To Bring Back This Original 'Suits' CharacterThe worlds continue to collide for ‘Suits’ and ‘Suits LA,’ and I’m sure fans will be more than thrilled to know which other familiar faces will be joining the newly minted spinoff.
Rick Hoffman To Join Gabriel Macht To Reprise His Role On ‘Suits LA’
Following the resurgence of ‘Suits’ once it hit Netflix, fans couldn’t help asking for more, despite the original having a fantastic ten-season run.
To keep the spirit of the show alive, series creator Aaron Korsh was approached to find a way to bring it back.
The idea of a spinoff was finally settled on, but to make sure fans didn’t enter the new series without some touch of familiarity, ‘Suits’ lead Gabriel Macht was brought in to reprise his role in a three-episode arc.
This, however, will not be a recurring thing throughout the spinoff, as, according to creator Aaron Korsh, it won’t be a “parade of old characters.”
He said: “I would love to have them all on, [but] I don’t want to have them all on one after the other because I think it harms the original and the new show to do that. So we’re just going to see how it goes.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, another old favorite will be landing in the series soon. Who is it? Rick Hoffman’s Louis Litt that’s who. The star played the corporate attorney across nine seasons of the show.
Louis Litt is also the managing and name partner of Litt Wheeler Williams Bennett and retired from Pearson Specter to prevent Jessica Pearson or Harvey Specter from firing him after he embezzled money for Charles Forstman.
The character was one of the most dynamic characters throughout the whole series, and while nothing has been said so far about what will bring his character to LA and into the world of the ‘Suits’ spinoff, it would no doubt be a thoroughly engaging arc.
The spinoff centers on Steve Amell’s Ted Black: a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself by representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles.
However, when he meets troubled waters he is forced to embrace a role he has held in contempt his entire career in order to survive.
