Temperatures in and around Ocean City only got into the 30s today, but with no wind it felt like spring compared to the weather we've been dealing with. No wind in January means trips to the tautog grounds.
Captain Chase Eberle of Chasin' Tides Charters took advantage of today's calm seas and put his anglers on some very good tautog fishing. Captain Chase and his anglers had a bunch of tautog today with five fish over 10 pounds and the biggest tipping out at over 15 pounds.
I got a text today from the Spring Mix II crew who is having a great winter catching fish in the Florida Keys. Captain Chris Watkowski and his folks have been catching a wide range of species including tunas and grouper and they have dates available over the next several weeks. If you're in the neighborhood of Islamorada you can find them at the newly renovated Three Waters Resort at mile marker 88.
