Four-star 2026 RB Shahn Alston has a few programs catching his eye early in the process
Painesville (Ohio) Harvey On300 2026 running back Shahn Alston has seen his recruitment take off.
A few schools are beginning the four-star Alston’s eye.
“Some programs that I have been high on are USC, Penn State, Wisconsin, and Auburn,” Alston said.
The 5-foot-11, 204-pound Alston is tabbed by the On3 Industry as the nation’s No. 12 running back and No. 122 prospect overall. On3 is higher slotting him at No. 9 and No. 84 respectively.
Alston talked about those four schools.
Regarding Auburn: “All these schools share a common trait and it’s relationships. I have yet to visit, but the relationship me and the staff are building is special. They also play in the SEC which is seen to be the best conference in college football. Competing at that high of stage every week definitely excites me.”
Regarding Penn State: “Coach (JaJuan) Seider (running backs) and Coach (Charles) Walker (running backs assistant) have been showing me love since early this year. Their coaching style definitely sticks out to me. I’ve visited twice and each time they made me feel like the priority. Along with that Penn State has been dominant in the Big Ten, always watched them on Saturdays growing up. So having the opportunity to play there is a huge blessing.”
Regarding USC: “Definitely the relationship built. I’m in contact with a staff member every day. USC was also the second power five team to offer, so for them to believe in me that early tells me a lot. I’ve yet to visit, but I will visit this fall.”
Regarding Wisconsin: “The whole staff has been consistent with me since this spring. Around five to six staff members check up on me daily including Coach (Luke) Fickell. Also it’s long history of producing and developing great running backs interests me. To go along with that they have a great fan base.”
Alston will be at the Wisconsin home game against Alabama. He looks forward to lining up more dates and also has several other schools showing personal interest.
“Teams that haven’t offered me yet but I’ve been in contact with include Ohio State, Michigan, and Tennessee,” he said.
