Beyond the Gates spoilers reveal that Maria Howell will enter the canvas during the week of May 19 playing ‘Tracy’, Anita Dupree’s (Tamara Tunie) long-lost friend and one of the gals who was a part of the singing group, The Articulettes.
Howell has had quite the career and began as a choir soloist from The Color Purple. Fans might also recognize her from roles on Army Wives and Devious Maids, and guest-starring primetime shows like The Resident and Criminal Minds.
An incredible singer, she’s been on the stage along with music artists like Ray Charles, Earl Klugh, and Nancy Wilson. Howell also dabbled as a voiceover artist, working on animation projects, video games, narrating audiobooks, and participating in multiple television and radio commercials.
What kind of drama will Tracy bring when she arrives on the scene? Fans will have to tune in to find out!
Laura Peterson Returns
In other news, Laura Peterson (Destiny Love) will return to storylines during the week of May 19-23.
Of course, Laura’s car crash case will take center stage now that Leslie Thomas (Trish Mann-Grant) has been hauled into the police station.
Will Laura be able to help Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) with this case and offer any insight?
Town Gossip Enters The Equation
BTG fans took notice this week when a new character debuted, and Anastasia hit center stage as the resident ‘gossip queen’ at Fairmont Crest. The role is played by Timea Seretti. In addition, Jason Vendryes was first seen in his ‘mystery man’ role this past Tuesday, May 13.
While his character doesn’t have a name yet, he’ll be a part of a storyline that involves both Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) and Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon), which is likely about Martin’s big secret.
Plus, Keith D. Robinson debuted as the Ted Richardson recast, as Maurice Johnson exited the role.
Some other casting credits to note from the week of May 12-16 include: The role of Drake (at Joey’s casino) is played by Adam Dunlap. The ‘Cody’ character is played by Jake Boyd.
Dr. Flannery is played by Hunter Burke.
