Man Killed in Hit-and-Run on Westheimer, Houston Police Seek Suspect

A pedestrian fatality has once again marked the streets of west Houston, where a man's life was abruptly ended by a hit-and-run driver in the early hours of Monday morning. According to Click2Houston, the incident took place just after 12:45 a.m. as the man was using a crosswalk at the intersection of Westheimer and Dairy Ashford.
The unidentified man was struck by a dark-colored vehicle traveling eastbound, and the driver kept on going rather than stopping to render aid or await authorities. Houston police are canvassing the area and reviewing surveillance footage with the hope of apprehending the person behind the wheel. The victim, whose name has yet to be released, was transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Simultaneously, the Houston Police Department used its platform to inform the public of the ongoing investigation, highlighting the gravity of the crash via a post from their official account. Houston Police stated "Westside and VCD are working a fatal crash 12500 Westheimer. Striking vehicle left the scene. 202."
