Lauryn Hill has got social media talkin’ after she recently performed for her former classmates during their high school reunion.

Lauryn Hill Popped Out & Performed At Her High School Reunion
According to Billboard, Hill attended the reunion at Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey, earlier this month. During the event, the singer decided to deliver an “impromptu performance” to her former peers.
Subsequently, multiple clips of footage surfaced on social media of Hill taking the stage. One TikTok user named Donna Stewart Schiele took to the platform on August 11 to share a video of Hill performing her and The Fugees’ hit single, ‘Ready Or Not.’
“My high school is better than yours. The CHS/ MLK club had an amazing reunion #chsmlkreunion weekend!!” Schiele wrote in the caption of her clip.

Additionally, Schiele shared footage of Hill performing her hit single, ‘Doo Wop (That Thing).’

However, Schiele wasn’t the only one who captured footage of Hill in her vibe. Another woman named Jazmine Johanna took to Instagram to share a reel showcasing the entire event.
“#chsmlkreunion Part 2 People traveled from out of state to love up on their village. It was simply amazing. Still speechless from @mslaurynhill giving us an impromptu performance. This reunion was SO good for the soul COLUMBIA HIGH SCHOOL >>>>,” she wrote in the caption of her video.

The Singer’s Tour With The Fugees Was Recently Canceled
Lauryn Hill’s recent pop-out arrives amid her and The Fugees recently making headlines. As The Shade Room previously reported, Hill, Wyclef Jean, and Pras were scheduled to kick off a national tour on August 9. However, three days before the tour’s kick-off, the 18-stop event was canceled.
Furthermore, at the time, the reason for the cancelation remained unclear.
On August 8, Hill released a statement addressing the somber update.
With difficulty the decision was made to pull down our upcoming North American tour dates… Last year, I faced an injury that necessitated the rescheduling of some of my shows,” she stated in a post shared via Instagram.
Ultimately, Hill alleged that the media contributed to low ticket sales for the tour, sparking its cancellation.
“Regrettably, some media outlet’s penchant for sensationalism and clickbait headlines have seemingly created a narrative that has affected ticket sales for the North American portion of the tour,” she concluded.
