At least two people were killed and several others injured in a savage car and knife attack outside a UK synagogue on Yom Kippur — the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
The attack unfolded outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester just after 9:30 a.m. as scores of people were worshipping inside, police said.
Witnesses reported seeing a car plowing into members of the public before a man was stabbed and left lying in a pool of blood outside the synagogue as the carnage unfolded.

The madman responsible was quickly shot dead by cops, Greater Manchester Police said.
“I’m appalled by the attack at a synagogue in Crumpsall,” Prime Minister Keir Starmer said.
The fact that this has taken place on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, makes it all the more horrific.”
