Shocking New Details In Cybertruck Crash That Killed 3 Recent HS Grads

PIEDMONT, CA — Alcohol, drugs and speeding contributed to the Cybertruck crash that killed three recent high school graduates the day before Thanksgiving in Piedmont, according to police.Soren Dixon, Jack Nelson and Krysta Tsukahara — all members of Piedmont High School's class of 2023 — were in a Tesla Cybertruck that crashed shortly after 3 a.m. Nov. 27 on Hampton Road between Sea View and King avenues.Authorities previously said the truck hit a curb and landed between a cement wall and a tree, where it caught fire.Officers arrived to find the truck fully engulfed in flames, police said in an investigation update released last week, adding all three died at the scene of asphyxia and thermal injuries.“After a thorough investigation, the CHP’s findings indicate a combination of alcohol and drugs, along with unsafe speed, were contributing factors to the cause of this collision,” Piedmont police said in the news release.Dixon, the driver, had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.195, which is almost 20 times the legal amount for a person under 21, The Mercury-News reported Tuesday, adding a millileter of Dixon’s blood contained 180 nanograms of cocaine as well as 55 nanograms of methamphetamine.A fourth person was pulled from the wreckage by another driver and rushed to a hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. The article Shocking New Details In Cybertruck Crash That Killed 3 Recent HS Grads appeared first on Piedmont, CA Patch.
