Lotto officials put limit on Mega Millions tickets ahead of April 5 game relaunch – with 8 changes on the way

LOTTO officials across the US are starting to impose a limit on the number of Mega Millions tickets that can be bought in advance ahead of the game’s revamp.
Eight changes are set to impact gamblers who test their luck on the game of chance from April 5.

Lotto bosses in Arizona and Ohio have warned players can only buy advance tickets up to April 4, as reported by WFMJ-TV.
The rule has also been rolled out in Iowa, according to the state lottery.
Normally, gamblers can buy tickets for up to 10 consecutive draws.
Mega Millions draws take place every Tuesday and Friday.
But, the limit is only temporary as normal rules will apply from April 5.
In a matter of weeks, the price of a Mega Millions ticket will jump from $2 to $5.
The price rise has been known for months, but it has caused division on social media.
And some players have threatened to stop buying a ticket.
“There is zero chance I will buy at $5,” one Redditor scoffed.
“Five bucks is crazy,” another said.
“I guess I’ll be solely buying Powerball,” a third social media user said.
“I guess I’m done buying tickets. I won’t pay $5,” a fourth gambler added.
One critic claimed that whoever made the decision to hike the price of a ticket should be fired.
Some believe that Mega Millions chiefs will change course.
The price hike has even been questioned by loyal lotto players.

Corky Ramirez, from New York, believes a more appropriate price rise would have been $3, as per the CW affiliate WPIX-TV.
“It is going from 2 dollars to 5 dollars, why they are doing that?” a gambler, known as Anthony, told the outlet.
Local business owners fear the price impact could impact sales.
The price hike is just one of eight changes coming.
Mega Millions chiefs announced the odds of winning jackpot prizes will be improved.
Larger prize pots will occur more often and the starting point will be increased.
Jackpots will grow faster than ever before and tickets will include a built-in multiplier.
Players that match five balls will win a whopping $10 million.
Break-even prizes will be disappearing as prizes will always be more than the cost of a ticket.
