Westfield high school principals don’t want cellphone ban, but do set limits
WESTFIELD — Superintendent Stefan Czaporowski informed the School Committee at its Aug. 26 meeting that the district received a $25,000 grant from the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education last year to have each school above the elementary level develop its own cell phone use policies.Westfield Middle School Principal Jesse McMillan, who gave an overview of the policies, asking for feedback from the School Committee, said that each of the four schools — Westfield Intermediate School, WMS, Westfield High School and Westfield Technical Academy — was able to adopt its own.
