She Went On A Date With A Guy Who Threatened To Drive Her Home Faster Since She Rejected Him
I’m just going to come out and say it: I’m worried for any of you girls who agree to allow a man to pick you up on a first date if you don’t already know them or have a friend who can vouch for them.
Can we stop doing that, please? It’s not safe, especially since you can’t know someone’s true intentions before not even meeting them in real life.
I am absolutely not trying to shame anyone; I’m just begging you not to do something unsafe. Now that we have this PSA out of the way, allow TikToker Libby, who goes by @222libbylu, to share with you a terrible story about a date she went on (where, yes, she allowed the guy to pick her up).
Libby started her video by saying she’s going to opt out of using a certain dating app from now on because that’s how much of a nightmare this date turned into.
This is actually the first date she went on from this particular app, and it’s sure to be her last. After connecting with this guy on the app, they talked for several days.
She was feeling stressed at work and thought that meeting a new guy who could potentially turn into a boyfriend might help take her mind off the craziness. Or, at the very least, free dinner sounded nice to her.
Looking back, Libby says the first red flag was that this guy wouldn’t take no for an answer when it came to picking her up for their date.
She did think to Google his address, his phone number, and the names of his parents beforehand to make sure she wouldn’t, you know, end up dead.
The second red flag is that he was texting her some things that didn’t make him seem like a great match for her, but she was so worn out from work that she didn’t catch that.

When it came time for him to pick her up for the date, he showed up in a nice car. He was tall and pretty good-looking, so those were green flags.
The third red flag is that this guy mentioned that he did something for work, but it turned out that he was still in school for that job but did have a position as a bartender. So, he wasn’t honest.
They get to the restaurant for their date, and Libby did her best to give this guy a chance. She normally has anxiety eating while on a date, but she had no trouble that night, which is how she knows she was not attracted to him at all.
He made strange jokes, and Libby tried to wrap it up by telling their waitress they didn’t need another round of drinks, but this guy insisted on having another, so there she was, stuck.
He really didn’t get the hint when she said she had to get up early for work the next morning.
Finally, they were done and got back in his car, where he asked to grab her leg. Libby declined. This guy began speeding, which made Libby uncomfortable.
She said something about it, trying to joke so it didn’t come across as that harsh, but this guy was not having it.
He said to her, “Well, I’m going to go a lot faster now that you just rejected me.”
He turned on the radio after that and began screaming along to the music. Luckily, Libby made it back to her house in one piece.
“He drops me off at my home, which I think I need to move out of now because he has my address,” Lily adds.
The following morning, he sent Libby a text saying he had a great time and wanted to go on another date.
He kept texting her and trying to get Libby to agree to another date, so she ignored him. Feeling too bad to ghost him, Libby decided to tell him she wasn’t interested.
She sent him a very nice note letting him know, but he replied in the creepiest way. So, Libby’s worried that one day, this guy might just show up at her house.
What’s the worst date you’ve ever been on?
