Lady A Puts Taste of Joliet In The Major Leagues For Concerts: D'Arcy
JOLIET —Approximately 50,000 people have attended Taste of Joliet over the past two days. Friday's crowd was wowed by the performance of the Goo Goo Dolls. On Saturday night, there was no let down in terms of crowd enthusiasm and the attendance was just as impressive.On Friday, Joliet Mayor Terry D'Arcy predicated that approximately 25,000 people were on hand for the Goo Goo Dolls concert. Then on Saturday night, Joliet Patch interviewed Joliet's mayor minutes after Taste of Joliet gave Lady A a thunderous ovation. Lady A thanked Joliet's audience times during the concert for giving them such an incredible and positive reaction to their live music.Country Night is always king at Taste of Joliet, and Lady A's performance will be remembered by concertgoers for years to come.D'Arcy wanted everyone to know that Lady A played at Wrigley Field in Chicago just three years ago. That's the type of talent the Joliet Park District is now attracting and bringing to Joliet to headline Taste of Joliet, D'Arcy emphasized.Lady A are winners of an incredible 7 Grammy Awards, with nine #1 songs, 4 platinum albums and over 17 million albums sold worldwide, according to Joliet Park District officials.
