Joey Graziadei Calls ‘ DWTS ’ the ‘Experience of a Lifetime’
By Ryan Hudgins
Days after taking home the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy, Joey Graziadei is reflecting on his Dancing With the Stars journey with partner Jenna Johnson.
“After a few days it is finally starting to settle in that this season of @dancingwiththestars has come to an end and we are champions…” Graziadei, 29, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, November 30.

Graziadei shared a series of clips from his rehearsals with Johnson, 30, before showing snippets of their dances on the ballroom floor.
“Jenna, from the bottom of my heart I want to say THANK YOU. Thank you for crafting the experience of a lifetime. Thank you for pushing me to be better than I thought I could ever be. Thank you for believing in me and making me feel like I belonged in a room full of exceptionally talented people,” he wrote. “I mean it when I say that you have changed my life for the better. No one can question your creative genius and talent. You truly deserve this and I couldn’t be happier for you.”

While paying tribute to Johnson, Graziadei also made sure to shout-out his fiancée, Kelsey Anderson, and loved ones. (Graziadei popped the question to Anderson, 26, during The Bachelor season 28 finale, which aired earlier this year.)
“Last but not least, I want to thank my beautiful fiancée, my loving family, and friends. And thank you to all of YOU!” Graziadei continued. “This would have never been possible without the support and love of all of you each week. Thank you for believing in me, voting for me, and bringing so much joy to my life. I love you all ❤️.”
Johnson, for her part, got emotional in the comments section of the post. “I was not prepared to cry today 🥹😭😩,” she wrote. “My twin fr fr. The best experience EVER!”
Johnson also reposted the video via her Instagram Story, writing, “And I’m sobbing again. In denial that the season is over. Thank you for being the best partner ever Joey!!!!!”

The award was passed on from Johnson’s husband, Val Chmerkovskiy, who won season 32 with partner Xochitl Gomez.

“[I felt] just so much sheer love and joy. That was a really special moment that I don’t think has ever, ever, ever happened before,” Johnson told Us after the Tuesday, November 26, finale of her husband. “So many people told me that they have videos of him freaking out and I can’t wait to see them. He’s been my No. 1 supporter through this. He’s been mommy and daddy for us right now while I’ve been getting ready for this finale. So I’m just so grateful for him.”
Johnson, who shares 22-month-old son Rome with Chmerkovskiy noted that her trophy will “probably [go] right next to Val’s” from last season, while Graziadei will place his in his new Los Angeles home with Anderson. He added, “We just got a new apartment, so it’s our first little centerpiece that we have, so it’ll be somewhere.”
