Is Golden Bachelor Winner Dating After Divorce?
Theresa Nist was married to her husband for over 40 years when he died in 2014. She eventually felt ready to move on and joined ABC’s dating show The Golden Bachelor. She formed a connection with Gerry Turner almost immediately. He also lost his wife after decades of marriage.
The two quickly fell in love and got engaged during the season finale. They rushed down the aisle in a televised wedding. Their wedding was perhaps too fast. Gerry and Theresa announced just three months later that they were divorcing. He revealed in December 2024 that he had been diagnosed with cancer around the time of the divorce, though she said the diagnosis didn’t play a part in the split.

Neither of the Golden Bachelor stars have publicly dated anyone since their divorce. But according to Theresa Nist, that’s not because men haven’t been trying to date her. She told PEOPLE magazine a few months ago that men were sliding into her DMs. Many of them were quite younger than her, which she said “baffled” her.
“I do get approached through Instagram direct messages, but you wouldn’t believe how young these guys are. They’re so young that they’re younger than my son… And they’ll persist and persist and persist. I’m talking 33 year olds,” – Theresa Nist, PEOPLE magazine.
Theresa Nist Debuts New Hair Color
Theresa Nist took to her Instagram over the weekend to share a stunning change in her appearance. Gone was her familiar dark brown hair. The Golden Bachelor star debuted a new lighter shade of brown. She explained the reason for the change.
“I started getting gray hair in my 30s. So, it’s been many years of coloring it and it’s actually darker now than it originally was,” she wrote in the caption.
She added that she’d been considering going lighter for a while now and finally took the plunge. Theresa Nist said she was very happy with the change. She asked her followers if they’ve struggled with going gray and what changes they’ve made to their hair.
