Everest Fusion Brings Hot Pot, Ramen, Barbecue To Downers Grove
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Everest Asian Fusion is bringing hot pots, barbecue dishes, ramen and other cuisine to Downers Grove to its spot at 1500 75th St. The eatery's R-1 liquor license request was unanimously approved in December, when petitioners told officials they anticipated opening in the next couple of months. Patch obtained Everest Asian Fusion's menu via village documents. Diners will be able to choose from original, tomato, spicy and duo hot pots, adding meat, seafood that includes beef, lamb, chicken, shrimp, squid and mussels. Shiitake mushrooms, potatoes, watercress and lotus root are some of the other items customers can add. The restaurant's selection of barbecue dishes features Mongolian beef, pork belly, eggplant, trumpet mushrooms, asparagus and more.The ala carte menu offers gyoza, poke wraps, pork buns, bowls and other Asian fusion dishes. Ramen options run the gamut from spicy tonkotsu ramen and black garlic ramen to yaki ramen. Diners will be able to top their ramen bowls off with pork belly, noodles and fried eggs. Everest Asian Fusion's liquor menu features an array of tequila-, rum-, whiskey- and cognac-based cocktails and signature drinks. The Shanghai Punch mixes dark rum, Remy Martin, and Cointreau with lemon and orange juice. Owned and operated by Wei Zheng, who also owns Crab King in Oak Lawn, Everest Asian Fusion, Everest Asian Fusion will have enough seating for 300 guests.
