Baby dumbbell toys recalled due to choking risk
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — More than 366,000 baby dumbbell toys are being recalled because they post a choking hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
The recalled dumbbells are part of the Fisher-Price Baby Biceps set, which also includes a sweatband, water bottle and kettlebell.
The gray caps on the dumbbells can detach, posing a choking risk for small children.
Fisher-Price has received seven reports of the dumbbell caps falling off. No injuries have been reported.
The Fisher-Price Baby Bicep sets were sold at retailers nationwide, such as Walmart, Kohls, Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, TJMaxx and Target, and online.
Anyone who purchased one of the sets is urged to take it away from young children and contact Fisher-Price for instructions on how to receive a refund and dispose of the recalled toy.
