Port Jervis Man Admits Dealing Cocaine: DA
PORT JERVIS, NY — A Port Jervis man accused of selling cocaine has entered a guilty plea in Orange County Court. Enido Rumaldo, 21, entered the plea on Feb. 26 to second-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.Under the terms of a plea agreement, he is expected to be sentenced March 26 to six years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, according to Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler. Rumaldo was arrested following a long-term investigation into narcotics sales in the Port Jervis area, prosecutors said. Rumaldo sold narcotics to undercover police officers in Port Jervis four times in the fall of 2024. On Oct. 16, 2024, he sold 63 grams of cocaine to an undercover officer and was arrested, according to the district attorney’s office. Police executed a search warrant on Rumaldo’s vehicle and found narcotics, scales and plastic baggies for packaging drugs, prosecutors said.During his plea, Rumaldo admitted selling one half ounce or more of cocaine, according to the district attorney’s office.
