In June 2024, Wade Wilson was found guilty of murdering two women in Florida. Reports indicate that he killed both women on the same day and told his father about the crimes. In his calls, Wilson shared details about the slayings and revealed how he murdered both victims. After authorities arrested him, he was charged with first-degree murder. Correspondingly, the jury found him guilty of the murders and voted in favor of the death penalty. Wilson’s sentencing will take place on July 23, 2024.
According to News-Press, Wade Wilson, who adopted his name from the Marvel character Deadpool, met one of his victims in a bar on October 6, 2019. The outlet mentioned that they arrived at the victim’s home the next morning. Later, Wilson strangled her to death in her bed and took her car. A few hours later, Wilson met another woman and asked her for directions. Per the News-Press, the accused lured her into the car and strangled her when she attempted to escape. He then pushed her out of the car and ran over her 10 to 20 times.
Wilson’s father also testified during the trial and opened up about the telephone conversation he had with his son after the murders.

On the other hand, the accused’s father revealed that he strangled the other victim before throwing her out of the car. When he discovered that the victim was still breathing, he ran her over several times. “He was wanting me to feel the same way he was feeling,” Wilson’s father said during the trial.
Wade Wilson and his father had multiple conversations regarding what he did. News-Press reported that he put one of the calls on the speaker, and Wilson’s mother listened to all the details. The outlet stated that Wilson’s mother gave all the information to the authorities, including his current whereabouts. Subsequently, police apprehended him and charged him with first-degree murder. Eventually, the jury found him guilty of six charges, including two counts of first-degree murder, grand theft, battery, and more.
