NYC Prisoner Escaped Custody At Hospital, Remains At Large: NYPD
NEW YORK CITY, NY — The NYPD are trying to locate a prisoner who escaped police custody while being treated in a New York City hospital on Wednesday, police said. At 9:38 p.m., James Mossetty, 35, was being treated at NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue while in the custody of the Department of Corrections, when he fled on foot out of the building and into the FDR Drive, police said. Mossetty is described as standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, gray sweatpants, black glasses and black shoes, police said. The NYPD has released photos of the escaped prisoner. Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
