It works by twisting the worm (the spiral bit) into the cork, then pulling it out using the fulcrums and handle. Its strength is in its compact size and efficient process, which we experienced with the Pulltaps waiter’s corkscrew. It performed so well during our tests that it surpassed our previous top pick, the Trudeau turbo double lever corkscrew.The Pulltaps model also has a serrated blade that slices smoothly through the foil at the tops of bottles. Most importantly, it has evenly spaced fulcrums which offer plenty of leverage to pull out a cork, even for smaller hands.
