3 Teens Caught Breaking Into Vehicles In Tampa Area: Watch

RUSKIN, FL — Three teenagers were arrested early Monday morning for breaking into vehicles in a Ruskin neighborhood, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Facebook post. (Watch a video from the agency’s Aviation Section of the suspects below.)Though HCSO named the teens, it’s Patch policy not to name minors accused of a crime unless they’ve been charged as an adult. It’s unknown whether he has been charged as a juvenile or an adult.Deputies responded to a 911 call about the vehicle break-ins around 3:15 a.m. They called in the Aviation and K9 sections for assistance. The suspects — later identified as three boys, ages 14, 15 and 17 — were seen throwing stolen items into a wooded area before running into a home, the sheriff’s office said. Deputies contacted the residents of the home and identified the teen suspects. They were arrested and each charged with burglary of an unoccupied vehicle.“Our Aviation and K9 Sections played a crucial role in tracking these individuals and ensuring a swift arrest,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “This is another example of our commitment to keeping Hillsborough County safe.
