Niles Canyon Railway Offers Spring Train Rides Through Scenic Bloom
FREMONT, CA — Niles Canyon Railway is welcoming visitors to experience the beauty of Niles Canyon in bloom with the return of its weekend train rides, running from March through October 2025.Diesel-powered trains will operate on the second and third weekends of each month, with departures on both Saturdays and Sundays. Passengers can embark on a 1.5-hour round-trip journey through the canyon at either 10:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m., departing from Sunol unless otherwise noted. Steam-powered trains are expected to return later in the year after infrastructure work is completed at the Brightside Yard.For those who missed the popular Train of Lights, this daytime ride follows the same scenic route, though with fewer cars and without the holiday light displays.
