McBee Dynasty star Steven McBee has just triggered backlash over a “disgusting” comment. Yet, what exactly did he say, and what made it so off-putting? More so, will this cause fans to stop watching the series? Keep reading for further details.

During Season 1 of McBee Dynasty, Steven McBee made it seem like he did all of the farm work and truly cared about the fate of the family business. That was not necessarily true, as his other brothers were very invested in what would happen. He was also in a relationship, which occasionally distracted him. The show was renewed for a second season, and fans are ready and raring to go. His mother, Kristi McBee, will be taking over for his father, Steve. Fans will get to know the family in a different manner, but a lot of that has to do with charges brought against the patriarch.

He pleaded guilty to federal crop insurance fraud and will be sentenced in June 2024. Steve will face up to thirty years in prison, but it is his son who is in the hot seat. He recently shared a message to employees who look up to business owners and are jealous of what they have. Steven went on to state that they work harder than most people could even fathom. He added that they “fight demons” and have an immense amount of stress. Finally, he wanted to make it clear that they work for whatever they have, and nothing comes easy.

That was hard for McBee Dynasty fans to swallow after knowing his father’s charges and how much time he is facing. Steve committed fraud for his own personal gain, so to act like he worked incredibly hard for his fortune was sickening. One fan had this to say:

Steve McBee is not even the star of Season 2, but will pop up for Jesse and Alli’s wedding, set to be the season finale.
A ‘Disgusting’ Family
After seeing what the McBee Dynasty star posted, fans and followers were livid. They shared that they would no longer follow him. Some even shared their firsthand experiences working alongside bosses and cited that they have far more stress than the business owners. What he said was preposterous and false. It was also noted that fans could not believe how low this family continued to sink:

They continue to be disgusting. It’s fun to watch because they are total losers and don’t know it.

Steven McBee would like to believe that he is in control, and maybe he is now that his dad is under fire. Either way, it was very tone deaf and no one took him seriously.
