Alysha Newman has posed for a stunning new photoshoot with Maxim, with the Olympian OnlyFans model opening up on her rise to stardom.
It was a little over a year ago that Newman, 31, caused outrage at the Paris Olympic Games when the Canadian pole vaulter celebrated winning bronze by twerking at the crowd in France.
Now, however, she is striking a more reflective tone in her latest interview as she reflected on her journey to the Olympics and balancing sporting demands with her life as a model.
'When I was a little girl, I was told I had to choose: be an athlete or be a model. I didn’t understand why I couldn’t be both,' she said. 'But for a long time, I believed them and chose athletics. I poured my heart and soul into it.'
Last year in France, her place on the podium was particularly groundbreaking as she became the first Canadian woman to win an Olympic medal in pole vaulting.
'The truth is, the medal itself is only a moment,' she told Maxim. 'For me, the real magic wasn’t even the medal. It was the feeling of being in the zone, completely present and giving everything I had.

'And then, standing on the podium, I felt the other side of it: the pride of being Canadian. To know I had become the first woman from my country ever to medal in pole vault was humbling.'
Newman spoke to Daily Mail back in 2022 about her decision to join OnlyFans, where she is believed to have earned over $200,000 from her time on the platform.
'Whether I liked it or not, I was sexualized in the sport naturally by what I wear, and my beauty,' she said.
'If I showed up in full leggings and a sports bra that covered my stomach, people would still sexualize me. I mean, it just never stops.
'When I decided to launch OnlyFans, it was really important for me to be a part of something I could control.'
Newman has over a million followers on social media and has worked hard to build an online presence to grow her profile outside of her sport.
But competition is still her biggest passion and she is working to build a high performance athletics centre in Canada to help young athletes of tomorrow follow her path to the Olympics.

'What matters most to me is making sure the next generation of athletes has the chance to chase their dreams,' she told Maxim.

'My goal is simple: to ensure no future Olympian is left behind because of the family or circumstances they were born into.'
