1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton shows off new teeth after dramatic weight loss

By BRIAN MARKS,

Tammy Slaton, one of the stars of 1000-lb Sisters, is proudly showing off her gleaming new smile after trolls attacked her over her teeth.

The 39-year-old reality star appeared on Tuesday's episode of the Creative Chaos podcast and revealed that she now had a new set of teeth after the critiques began to get to her.

'Show me them chompers, girl,' host Hunter Ezell said as Tammy turned toward the camera and beamed ear to ear to reveal her new look.

The teeth were just the latest change for Tammy, who has lost an astounding 500lbs after once weighing in at over 700lbs.

After getting a fist bump and congratulations from Ezell, Slaton revealed that her new dental work was the result of a bridge, which is a section of one or more artificial teeth that are anchored between two permanent teeth, often permanently.

But she revealed that her dental journey wasn't complete yet after she experienced some unfortunate complications.

'They’re temporary still,' she explained, adding that 'they had to cement [the artificial teeth] in because the glue wasn’t holding. Well, my body was rejecting it.'

She also said her dental professionals had to pull some teeth that were replaced by the pristine-looking bridge.

But Slaton was looking forward to even better results in the future.

'I’m still getting more done with it,' she said. 'It’s a process.'

Ezells aid it sounded as if 'everything's great' with Slaton after her latest major changes.

'You’ve got new teeth,' he said, adding that it got 'the people off your back.'

'Some of them,' Slaton corrected him. 'They’re always gonna be there.'

Ezell tried to reframe her thinking on her 'haters.'

Slaton noted that her dental team had to pull some teeth to fit in the artificial chompers, and she said she was looking forward to even better results in the future. 'I’m still getting more done with it,' she declared. 'It’s a process'

'I’ll tell you this — and I stand by it whenever I say this — if you ain’t got people who constantly got something to say about you, you ain’t doing good in life,' he said.

'Haters make me famous,' Slaton joked back at him.

She previously took one of those haters to task in January of 2024, when she clapped back at a troll who commented that she should 'fix them teeth.'

At the time, Slaton appeared in a TikTok video in which she said, 'With all due respect, I wish people like you would stop commenting crap like this. It is not helping my confidence.'

She urged people to focus instead of 'lifting up each other' as support poured in from her fans.

'I was trying to keep my confidence boosted and seeing comments about my chin or my teeth doesn't help,' Slaton explained. 'Getting my teeth fixed costs money that I don't have right now.'

She continued: 'I had to calm myself down before I replied because I really wanted to go off on you. I really wanted to tell you if you had a true problem with my teeth then pay for them yourself.

'But I don't want to be that person. I don't want to be rude,' she added.

After losing around 200lbs from her high of over 700lbs, Slaton (L) was able to get bariatric surgery, which helped her to rapidly lose another three hundred pounds; pictured in 2001 with sister Amy Slaton (R)

Slaton said she was trying to 'better' her life, and reminded her followers that it 'doesn't matter if I'm missing teeth.'

'It's sad. Why hate? Why can't you just appreciate the hard work I've put in? Why can't you just appreciate that I'm still alive? Yes, I have flaws. I'm human.'

She capped off her video on a defiant note: 'I'm not gonna let you or anyone else ruin my day.'

Slaton's new teeth were just the latest major physical change for the reality star after she managed to shed hundreds of pounds.
