SHIRLEY, NY — A man reported an unknown person approached a 16-year-old boy at a school bus stop in Shirley on Tuesday morning, Suffolk police said. The person approached the boy on Ranch Drive and asked if he wanted a ride to school at around 6:30 a.m., according to police.
