‘Mama June’ Blames Horrific Storm On Late Daughter, Anna

June “Mama June” Shannon recently shared a video with fans while she was awake amid a strong windstorm. During the video, June caught fans of guard by talking about her late daughter Anna in the video. The reality star also talked about the upcoming season of her new show.
Mama June Shared An Interesting Explanation For A Recent Storm
June became known to audiences after appearing on the TLC series, Toddlers & Tiaras. She and her family later became the focus of the spin-off, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, which refered to her daughter, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson. Viewers would further get to know the family through the Mama June WeTV series.
Tragically, June’s daughter Anna Shannon-Cardwell was dignosed with stage IV adrenal carcinoma in 2023. Towards the end of the year, she passed away at the age of 29 in her mother’s house on December 9, 2023.

In the video, June shared that she was up early in the morning due to strong winds around her house. Before she explained her story, she anticipated a big reaction to what she had to say. In fact, she told fans planning to fill up the comment section to “run it up.”
June shared that the house had been plagued by wind that woke her up. She continued, “Anna and her friends decided that they were going to play a water-balloon fight up there. And just laugh and yee-haw and cry on us and all that other s***. And it sounds like they’ve been throwing buckets down here.”
June continued, “But, also, you know, it’s thundering, it’s lighting and everything.” Noting that she had gone out of bed, she shared that she went around the house to make sure everything and everyone was safe.
A Few Fans Were Confused By Mama June’s Statements
Wishing fans a “Happy Wednesday,” June then told fans to stay safe amid the storm. She then noted it was only “one week and two days until the show comes out May 30.” Mama June’s WeTV series will come out on May 30, 2025, with the episode, “Love & Marriage.”
On social media, some fans were confused by June’s comments about Anna. Some thought June got the names of her daughters mixed up. As one fan wrote, “Anna and her friends?? You mean Anna’s daughter?” Another explained, “She’s saying Anna’s with her friends up in the sky.” In other words, June appeared to be talking about her daughter’s spirit in heaven.
Taking to the comments, many fans who were also dealing with storms shared their own stories. A few comments also shared their condolences for Anna’s passing. Some comments included:
“I definitely am praying for you hope the storm passes stay safe.”
“Stay safe…We are getting the storms later today..Enjoy your alone time. I am.”
“I know it’s been a little while but my condolences on Anna’s passing! I still cry everytime I watch the episode of her taking her last moment w/ u and ur family!”
