North Miami to Honor Councilman Scott Galvin with Superhero-Themed 25th Anniversary Celebration
North Miami is preparing to celebrate a milestone anniversary for one of its longstanding public servants. Councilman Scott Galvin is to be honored for his 25 years of dedication to the city with a superhero-themed event appropriately named the "Celebration of Leadership," according to a statement obtained by the City of North Miami. The festivities, organized by the City of North Miami in conjunction with the Greater North Miami Chamber of Commerce, will take place at the Scott Galvin Community Center on September 29, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The event schedule is to officially start with a Special Celebration from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a Superhero-Themed Honor Ceremony lasting until 9:00 p.m. Embracing the theme, attendees are encouraged to don superhero costumes to pay tribute to Councilman Galvin's superhero-like service to the community. "Councilman Galvin has been a steadfast advocate for the people of North Miami," North Miami Mayor Alix Desulme, Ed. D., said in a recent release. "His tireless contributions that span over the last 25 years will impact the generations to come."
The night is to recognize Councilman Galvin's contributions and also to rally the community in a show of support and unity. Dave Burney, Chairman of the Greater North Miami Chamber of Commerce, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, "Scott Galvin has been an exceptional leader and public servant for over two decades, and we want to show our appreciation in a memorable way," he told the City of North Miami.
