A&E’s Duck Dynasty first ran from 2012 to 2017, lasting 11 seasons. However, it was recently announced that the show is set to make a comeback. Details about the upcoming revival have since come out, including when it will air.
Duck Dynasty Fans Have Been Keeping Up With The Robertson Family On Social Media & With Podcasts
The original Duck Dynasty revolved around the Robertson family and their business, Duck Commander, which specializes in products for duck hunters, and filmed in West Monroe, Louisiana. The series proved popular, even already inspiring a few spin-offs, Jep and Jessica: Growing the Dynasty and Going Si-Ral.
The series originally finished its run in 2017. However, fans have continued to keep up to date with the family through their shares on social media and podcasts.

However, fans will soon get to see more of the Robertson family on the small screen. As noted by Shreveport Times, a reboot has been announced for 2025.
The series is set to air sometime this upcoming summer. At this time, the revival has been planned for two seasons, each with 20 one-hour episodes. Notably, during the show’s original run, fans often got more than one season during the year.
This new series will notably host “a new generation of the Robertson family as they navigate their personal lives and the future of the Duck Commander family business.” After all, a few new members of the Roberston family were born after the original series’ end.
This version of the show will focus specifically on Willie Robertson and his wife Korie. Naturally, there will also be focus on their children and grandchildren, as well as the family homestead in Louisiana.
One Prominent Family Member Will Not Be Returning For The Reboot
Notably, family patriarch Phil Robertson will not be featured in the reboot. Over the past few months, Phil has endured a variety of health issues, including a diagnosis of Alzheimer disease.
That said, Phil’s wife, Miss Kay, and his brother, Uncle Si, are expected to be featured on the show. Notably, Miss Kay is expected to return despite also suffering from recent health issues, including a fall. As Jase Robertson shared on the “Unashamed” podcast, “For my mom, it’s been a lot better this past week, because she was really not doing good.”

At the time, as previously reported, Jase also shared a health update concerning his father, Phil. Keeping things direct, he noted, “The number one question I get everywhere I go: ‘How’s your dad doing?’ Now, I’m just giving the blunt truth: I say, ‘Not good.'”
Previously, the series’ revival was announced on Instagram. The post was shared by Duck Dynasty, A&E, and various family members of the Robertson family.
At the time, it was shared, “Our hope is for you to watch again together as a family and pray our show brings families back around the dinner table giving thanks to God and loving one another. Our prayer as a family is and always has been that we are bright lights for His Glory. We’re SO glad to be back! Stay Tuned!”
