Experience exceptional sunsets right here in Naperville, now thru October
With the autumnal equinox approaching in September, already a late summer sunset in Naperville provided onlookers with about 30 minutes of breathtaking views early Friday evening on Aug. 30.
During the next few weeks, daylight and nighttime will begin to be just about equal, at 12 hours each when summer ends and autumn leads to winter. The sun will set and rise at due east and west as it begins its journey southward over the next few months.

From time to time, dating back many years, PN photographers have posted many pretty pictures of sunsets streaking over Lake Osborne and May Watts Pond, mindful of the calming effects their striking beauty has to reduce stress and bolster better moods.
Quite simply, we have found sunsets throughout September and October to be especially awe-inspiring, evoking feelings of serenity, tranquility and wonder with nature.

Whenever possible, head outside for a leisurely walk early in the evening during the next couple months. Look west and up above the treetops for a clear view. Check to see what’s happening in the evening sky.

One more thing... In the spirit of good nature every winter, spring, summer or fall words written and sung by Carole King more than 50 years ago go great with sunrises and sunsets as some of the most beautiful songs on Earth.
‘Beautiful’ – ChorusWritten by Carole King & featured on the album Tapestry in 1971
You’ve got to get up every morningWith a smile on your faceAnd show the world all the love in your heartThen people gonna treat you betterYou’re gonna find, yes you willThat you’re beautifulYou’re beautifulYou’re beautiful as you feel
