Andrew Lamberti, Staten Island educator and comedy writer, dies at 77 | Life Stories

Often, pedestrians walking by Andrew Lamberti’s house on Windsor Road in Castleton Corners would pause to admire his garden, where he grew marigolds, sunflowers, zinnias, and many other flowers and plants. “People would stop all the time in front of his house to take pictures,” said his daughter, Elena Capofari. In keeping with his kind and generous spirit, Lamberti would give these strangers a couple of flowers from the garden to keep.
