Romeoville Board Approves Proposals For Parks Projects
ROMEOVILLE, IL — Two parks projects moved forward after the Romeoville Village Board approved proposals at Wednesday's meeting.The first proposal was for a new concession building at Village Park. The Board approved a proposal from Wight and Company for the project.Kelly Rajzer, Director of Parks and Recreation, said the existing concessions building is in need of reconstruction."This approval is for the conceptual and schematic design only," she said. The proposal cost was $67,500, according to Board documents.The second proposal was for playground redevelopment at Hampton Park. The Board also approved a proposal from Wight & Company for the project.Rajzer said Hampton Park is approaching 20 years from the original construction."This playground is heavily utilized, especially due to the proximity to St. Andrew's," Rajzer said.The approval was again only for conceptual and schematic design. The proposal cost was $32,000, according to Board documents.
