Crowd of 3,021 Sees Hickory FC Defeat Greenville United 3-2

Hickory FC defeated Greenville United 3-2 at home in front of yet another club-record crowd of 3,021 on Saturday evening at the Helen & Leonard Moretz Stadium at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Hickory FC struck early when Camilo Salazar scored in the sixth minute on a rocket from 25 yards out.
Just eight minutes later, Sergio Baguena added a second goal for the hosts in the aftermath of a Hickory FC corner, collecting the rebound from a save by Greenville goalkeeper Chase Jansen and finding the back of the net.
In second-half action, Greenville struck first in the 58th minute when Joseph Dotson put a well-placed header past Hickory goalkeeper Jasper Rump on a crossing pass from teammate Abdoulie Mbaye.
Not to be outdone, Hickory struck back within five minutes with Tomas Polacchi striking a gem from the right corner of the box on the assist from Jorge Jimenez.
Greenville closed out the scoring in the 85th minute on a goal from Daniel Ayertey who put a header into the top right corner off the Greenville corner from Mbaye.
The win gives Hickory FC 13 points from conference play, leaving the black and red atop the Southeast Conference standings.
