S.C. Arts Commission launches Creative Careers website

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina Arts Commission has launched a new website to provide information and insight into career opportunities within the state’s $14 billion arts industry, according to officials.
Creative Careers Studio will serve as a platform for students, families, and educators seeking to explore the range of jobs and careers available in the arts and how best to obtain them from high school to post-secondary education: www.CreativeCareers.Art.
SC Arts Commission says the website includes detailed career profiles, information on educational pathways, and links to resources.
It also features profiles of artists working in various disciplines, providing inspiration and real-world examples of career possibilities.
“We are excited to launch this dynamic platform to showcase the incredible career potential within South Carolina’s vibrant arts industry,” says SC Arts Commission Executive Director David Platts.
The website is part of the South Carolina Arts Commission’s ongoing effort to support the state’s arts industry and to promote the arts as a viable career path.
All South Carolinians are encouraged to visit the Creative Careers website by the Commission.
“The Creative Careers website empowers students, families, and educators with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the exciting and rewarding world of arts careers. Whether you aspire to be a visual artist, musician, performer, designer, or arts administrator, there are countless opportunities waiting to be discovered,”continues Executive Director Platts.
