Bristol School Employee Faces Child Porn Charge: Police
BRISTOL, CT — A paraeducator at Bristol Eastern High School was arrested Tuesday morning on a child pornography charge.Jacob Senick, 25, of 155 Louisiana Ave., Bristol, was charged with one count of first-degree possession of child sexual abuse material.Iris White, acting superintendent of schools, said Senick worked as a paraeducator in the Destinations Program at Bristol Eastern.Senick was “immediately relieved of all duties,” White said, in an announcement to parents Tuesday afternoon.The Bristol Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division received a tip in 2024 and launched an investigation. The probe determined Senick possessed videos depicting minors involved in sexually explicit conduct, according to police. Police secured a warrant for Senick’s arrest, and on Tuesday morning executed a search and seizure warrant at his residence.White said the school district is cooperating with law enforcement.“Clearly, an allegation of this magnitude is incredibly disturbing and causes concerns about the safety of the children in our school community,” White said, in the announcement. “Bristol community members should be reassured that the safety of children is the district’s foremost concern.” White urged anyone with concerns to contact her or their school building administrator. “My hope is that these horrific allegations will not cast a shadow over the important work carried out by our teachers and staff members, who provide an outstanding education and safe environment for our students every day,” White said.The Bristol Police Department has a tip line for citizens to report information anonymously.
