What if Obi-Wan Kenobi was a musical? The Star Wars character's voice actor makes his pitch (and sings a song)
The life of Obi-Wan Kenobi is full of action, romance, betrayal, and redemption. In other words, it has the makings of a good musical. During the Clone Wars 15th anniversary panel at Florida Supercon, Kenobi voice actor James Arnold Taylor pitched the Obi-Wan musical.
“Ashley (Eckstein) and I have talked about this for ages, there should be a Broadway production of Obi-Wan and Satine. I’d pay to see that,” Taylor said. For those who haven’t seen Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Satine was Kenobi’s true love, who was tragically killed.
“I have heard how much Dave Filoni loves the concept of a musical episode,” panel moderator Julie Snyder joked. “I regularly would ask him for it. I would say, you know everyone’s doing it! Buffy got a musical episode. Where’s our musical episode,” Ahsoka actress Ashley Eckstein said.
