Now that Tracker Season 2 is down to two episodes, fans of the CBS adventure series may want to know what to expect in Season 3. Justin Hartley has already warned that the current season could be “darker.” Therefore, it makes sense that Season 3 could be a little different from the first two episodes.

Why does he hint that Colter Shaw may be on the run in Season 3?

Justin Hartley Hints At Tracker Season 3 Possible Plot
Recently, Justin Hartley spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the final episodes of Tracker Season 2, as well as some ideas for Season 3. He shared, “Now we’re in new territory.” They are still working on some ideas. Therefore, he shared “a couple of ideas.”

One of these is that Colter has all of these skills; he’s a survivalist and he knows how to be alone, and he knows how to find people and he’s gifted in that regard. He’s a great listener. But it would be interesting, I think, to see him be set up. In other words, to see him using all of those skills to run from the authorities, because you’ve been set up for whatever reason. I’d love to have all that tie into the family background, the government. So, we’ll see.

However, Hartley made it clear that although they have the “underlyng theme” of what they plan to do in Season 3, but he promised that they are “not really changing the direction” of the show.

What Happens In The Final Two Episodes Of Season 2 About?
Tracker Season 2 only has two more episodes left. What should fans expect in each episode? In the next episode, “Rules Of The Game,” “When Leo Sharf hires Colter to track down his missing assistant before his company launch, the case takes a personal turn and Reenie becomes entangled in a deadly vendetta.”

However, this short synopsis does not mention that Colter Shaw will be visiting his sister Dory Shaw, portrayed by Melissa Roxburgh. According to TV Line, she is giving him a box of his father Ashton’s research papers. But, does this contain more clues as to what happened to their father? Dory insists that there is “no smoking gun.” However, their mother, Mary Dove Shaw (Wendy Crewson) doesn’t know about this box of things.

Furthermore, the siblings discussed what a genius their father was. He was “way ahead of the curve” on zero point energy. Also, Ashton was having an affair with Lizzy’s mother, his coworker. But, the two fought the night he died. Colter believes that it may have to do with pressuring her to “do something” with the box of research. But, right now, there are a lot of scattered clues and nothing makes sense.

In the finale episode, Colter returns home to Echo Ridge and uncovers an unexpected family secret.
