Kingdom Come is coming, again.A documentary about the iconic DC miniseries Kingdom Come from Alex Ross and Mark Waid is to be announced in July 2024 ahead of Comic-Con International: San Diego. The purported title of it is Legend of Kingdom Come, as teased by Ross himself on social media.Originally published in 1996, the four-issue series Kingdom Come fast-forwards in DC time to depict older versions of Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman - grappingly with age, changing times, and the rise of a new generation of heroes - some of which are at the least more reckless and violent than DC's original heroes, and at most are straight-up villains. Originally invisioned as a DC equivalent to Ross' 1994 Marvel series Marvels, under his and writer Mark Waid's watch it became a seminal comic in the DC universe and a thesis on superheroes in changing times.
