Tennis ace Carlos Alcaraz certainly has Spidey skills on the court - he's through to the Wimbledon semi-finals after defeating last Brit standing Cameron Norrie is straight sets - but could he beat Spiderman at a round of golf?
The actor who plays the Marvel hero, Tom Holland, was in the Royal Box yesterday to watch the world number two make short work of Norrie, and even laid down a challenge to the tennis ace ahead of his Centre Court match.
Holland, who owns a £3million pound home just up the road from SW19 with his fiancee Zendaya, approached the two-times Wimbledon champion just as he was finishing up a practise session on the outside courts.
Alcaraz spotted the 29-year-old star and told him: 'I saw you playing golf this morning. You have a good swing.'
The Hollywood star, who was attending the tournament without his famous squeeze, then seized the opportunity to pin down the tennis star to a round, saying: 'We should play. I'll give you my number and we'll get a game in.'
The Wimbledon semi-finalist replied: 'For sure'.
After demolishing Norrie on the court, the French Open winner was asked about whether he would take actor Holland up on his offer.
Alcaraz, who hails from near Malaga in Spain, replied in the affirmative, saying he wouldn't hold back either: 'Once we set up a match of golf, I just go for it.
Let's play: Hollywood actor Tom Holland, 29, looked casual in a pink shirt and jeans as he watched world number two Carlos Alcaraz take on Brit Cameron Norrie on Wimbledon's Centre Court - and hours earlier the Spider-Man star had laid down a challenge
Competitive: At his press conference after defeating Norrie in style - 6-2, 6-3, 6-3, the Spanish player admitted that he'd love to play golf with Tom Holland - but wouldn't let him win
The tennis ace, who's worth £30 million, was complimentary about Holland's golf swing during their pre-match encounter (Alcaraz pictured on Centre Court)
He added: 'I saw him playing some times. I've seen some videos of him playing golf - I would love to play against him. Let's see if he will be available and we will set it up'.
He might be busy in the coming days though, the Spaniard won 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 to tee up his next match, a semi-final against American Taylor Fritz.
Golf mad Alcaaraz has been spending much of his downtime teeing off, with former Wimbledon winner Andy Murray teasing the star after they played a round.
After his previous match, BBC tennis presenter Annabel Croft asked how the game between the pro and ex-pro had gone and it didn't go down well.
'He said to you to ask this question, right? He beat me that day. But then a few days later we played again and I beat him. So it’s 1-1.'
