She Vanished In 2017 After Getting Into An Argument With Her Boyfriend And Was Last Seen Stumbling And Bleeding On Surveillance Footage From A Gas Station
Born in 1992, Brianna Jayde Vibert reportedly had a traumatic childhood. Nonetheless, she was known to be a loving person who cared deeply for those who helped raise her, in addition to her own children.
At 3 years old, Brianna was first adopted by a family who lived in Binghamton, New York. Then, after spending several years with that family, Brianna was reportedly placed with a different family. Then, Bobbi Jo Stone legally adopted Brianna, and they both settled in Birch Run, Michigan.
Once Brianna reached 24 years old, she’d already endured many challenges. She was recently divorced from the father of her children but remained in Michigan – working hard to provide her kids with a good life.
Yet, on July 15, 2017, Brianna disappeared, and Bobbi Jo knew that something was wrong.
“She would never just leave. I know for a fact if she was alive, she would be in contact with someone,” Bobbi Jo said.
It all began on July 14, 2017, when Brianna last spoke on the phone with Lisa Morley Hulse, who she lived with from age 3 to 16. They reportedly discussed her plans to travel to New York in order to surprise her sister at her gender reveal party.
“She was just really happy and excited to come visit us,” Lisa recalled, “And we couldn’t wait to see her. But we never did. And that’s the last time I talked to her.”
Then, later that night, Brianna left her home in Flint Township, Michigan, after getting into an argument with her boyfriend.
Afterward, Brianna was seen on surveillance footage at a Marathon gas station located on Miller Road. She reportedly frequented that gas station to either use the bathroom or charge her phone.

Later, at approximately 1:00 a.m. on July 15, 2017, Brianna was spotted entering a red Pontiac Aztek at the gas station, which was being driven by an unidentified male. The pair then stopped at a club, where employees later described Brianna as being in “pretty bad shape.”
Next, at 2:45 a.m., Brianna was again captured on surveillance footage at a Mobil gas station, which was located on South Saginaw Street in Flint. Her right arm was reportedly bleeding, and she was stumbling – grabbing onto shelves to balance herself.
Not long afterward, Brianna left the Mobil gas station and was last spotted walking on Saginaw Road near Atherton Road. She was headed north; meanwhile, the male who owned the red Pontic Aztek drove away in the opposite direction.
Following this last sighting of Brianna, she never made it home, and no one has seen or heard from her since.
Once an investigation into her disappearance was launched, Brianna’s boyfriend ultimately told police that their argument started because Brianna had been denied a visit with her kids – who were with their father at the time. Apparently, she’d been denied since her home had a broken well and lacked water.
Brianna’s boyfriend also alleged that she’d been throwing items and screaming during the argument, ultimately cutting her arm with a knife.
Investigators were able to identify the driver of the red Pontiac Aztek, who claimed Brianna had asked him for a ride to a restaurant. Later, the pair stopped at the club – where Brianna had previously worked.
It was discovered that she’d left her cell phone in the vehicle, which police found six days after she went missing. Additionally, Brianna’s bag was discovered in a ditch near her home.
The driver of the red Pontiac Aztek reportedly cooperated with the investigation. His identity was never made public, and he was never named a suspect in Brianna’s case.
Authorities have since conducted multiple searches in the area, but the exact circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain unknown.
“Leads have started to dwindle, but we haven’t given up. You have to hope that time is on your side and soon enough, someone will come forward with the missing piece that will lead to finding Brianna,” said Lieutenant Brad Wangler with the Flint Township Police Department in 2021.
Brianna’s loved ones have since created a Facebook page entitled Help Find Brianna Jayde Vibert to raise awareness about her case.
According to Lisa, one of Brianna’s best qualities was the love she held for her family.
“The greatest thing about Brianna was her love of family. And she has a lot of family to love. And who loves her back,” Lisa said.
As Bobbi Jo continues searching for her adoptive daughter, she’s also continued trying to instill this love into the lives of Brianna’s kids. Her three sons live in Michigan with their father; meanwhile, her daughter lives in New York with her dad.
“I can’t find my daughter, so the best thing for me to do is try my best to fill her role for them, for her babies. They miss her so much. We all do,” Bobbi Jo said.
“Some days, it’s really hard to hold on to hope. There are times I’ve lost hope completely, but I haven’t given up. I’ll never give up looking for my daughter.”
At the time she vanished, Brianna was five foot ten, weighed approximately 140 pounds, and had dyed red hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black capri pants, a cream-colored top, and flip-flops.
If you have any information regarding her disappearance, you are urged to contact the Flint Township Police Department at (810) 600-3250.
