Jenny Proebstle Set to Lead as Chief of Staff in Anne Arundel County Executive's Office Shuffle
In a strategic shuffle of senior staff, Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman announced the upcoming departure of his Chief of Staff Jeff Amoros, confirming Jeff Amoros has served with exemplary dedication, and subsequently elevating Jenny Proebstle from her Deputy Chief of Staff role to take the helm. Proebstle's promotion is poised to take effect on September 16, as reported by Anne Arundel County.
"Jeff Amoros has served our team with a level of professionalism, creativity, and compassion that we all seek in our leaders. I will forever be indebted to him for his service," County Executive Pittman articulated. Showing confidence in Proebstle’s experience and leadership, Pittman expressed, "Jenny Proebstle has demonstrated during the last six years a keen understanding of what this administration stands for and what we seek to accomplish," in a statement obtained by the county’s news release.
An integral part of Pittman's administration since April 2019, Proebstle has been influential across various facets of the Executive's teams, including communications, policy, and leadership. Acclaimed for being the administration's lead digital content creator, she has ushered in pivotal communications initiatives touching upon legislative matters like forest conservation, the Plan2040 framework, and the county budget.
Proebstle's academic accolades include graduating from Leadership Anne Arundel’s Flagship Program and the National Association of Counties High-Performance Leadership Academy. On the other side, Amoros will be parting ways with the administration in mid-September, having joined the County Executive’s team as the Communications Director in April 2021, before becoming Chief of Staff at the inception of Pittman's second term in December 2022. His career prior to this was marked by various responsibilities in Baltimore City government and as a consultant for state and local political campaigns.
