GALLERY: Kubota and Star Tron take early lead on Day 3
ERIE, Pa. – A two-horse race quickly formed between Team Kubota (Jacob Wheeler and Dustin Connell) and Team Star Tron (Jacob Wall and Bobby Lane) during Day 3 of B&W Trailer Hitches Challenge Cup Presented by Toyota, the first event of the fall edition of the 2024 General Tire Team Series Presented by Bass Pro Shops.
By the end of Period 1, Kubota was atop SCORETRACKER® with 13 bass weighing 26 pounds, 3 ounces, while Star Tron had one more bass but was 2-15 behind in weight.
However, plenty of time remained for things to turn around as the two teams below the elimination line remained within striking distance of making the cut with two periods left to go.
