Downtown Los Angeles Fire Quelled by 83 Firefighters in Under 40 Minutes, No Injuries Reported
A blaze erupted within a downtown Los Angeles industrial building yesterday, with the Los Angeles Fire Department swiftly responding to the conflagration. The fire, which took place at 1213 E Industrial St, was successfully extinguished by 83 firefighters in a defensive operation lasting just 38 minutes, as reported by the LAFD.
Upon their arrival, crews were greeted with heavy flames engulfing a 30' x 50' single-story building. Despite the intensity of the fire, firefighters managed to quickly bring the situation under control. As per the LAFD alert, there were no reported injuries as a result of the incident, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
The LAFD's Central Bureau played a crucial role in coordinating the response to the fire. Units that responded included Engines 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, and 17, along with Trucks 2, 3, 9, 11, and several specialized units such as Rescue Ambulances 209, 4, 809, 814, and 9, and Urban Search and Rescue Units 5 and 88. Battalion Chiefs from Battalion 1, along with support from other commands, oversaw the strategic extinguishing of the flames.
