RuPaul’s Drag Race fans were saddened by the news that season 4’s Jiggly Caliente passed away this week. Fans might also recall that Bianca Castro-Arabejo, her real name, appeared in the All-Stars edition of the show. 2025 has been a horrid year for celebrity deaths, and now another beloved personality has gone.
How Did The Drag Queen Die?
CBS News reported on April 27, 2025, that Jiggly passed away after she contracted an infection. The Broad City star’s family confirmed the death, noting just days before that the transgender activist “was hospitalized” due to an “infection.” Unfortunately, the sparkly personality “lost most of her right leg.“

Following the death of Jiggly Caliente, the outlet cited a tribute from the family that read:
Her legacy is one of love, courage, and light. Though her physical presence is gone, the joy she shared and the space she helped create for so many will remain forever. She will be deeply missed, always loved, and eternally remembered.

Fans of the TV show expressed their shock because she was only 44. When Entertainment Tonight shared the news on YouTube, plenty of people reeled. And, it seemed that their grief for the Filipino-American drag queen was genuine. In the comments section, one of them penned, “Oh no. I remember she had such an incredible spirit and energy on the show. So sad. RIP.”

Jiggly Caliente had a recurring part as the character Veronica Ferocity in the drama series, Pose, which aired from 2018 to 2021. Adding to her creative efforts, she launched her first studio album, titled T.H.O.T. Process, in 2018.
