Life does not get much better than this
A near-perfect spring weekend.
Thyme in my back garden.
Early morning residues of rain on ivy, also in the back garden:
Then to birding at Kingfisher Bridge both days:
The Cam was behind me when taking this shot. It is usually 2.5 metres or more above the lake level.
Wetland and reedbeds make perfect warbler country at this time of the year:
Sedge, Cetti's, garden, and reed warblers, plus chiffchaff, whitethroat and blackcap, which are also warblers. Admittedly, not all were seen - but all were heard. The sound was astonishing. I almost wish I could have recorded it.

So were we. And yet so few were - almost no distance from Ely, where we live with maybe 20,000 other people.
Getting out into nature is one of the best ways to improve well-being known. I wish more people partook of it. And there's even a cafe to meet my coffee cravings.
