Prince William's ‘Grudge’ Against Prince Andrew Has Nothing to Do with Previous Scandals, Experts Claim
There are plenty of reasons why Prince William could be feuding with Prince Andrew, like how he’s been linked to registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, his sexual abuse allegations, how he refuses to leave the Royal Lodge; the list goes on. Apparently, the main reason William has a grudge against Andrew reportedly has to do with how Andrew treated his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales, better known as Kate Middleton.
Specifically, royal expert Richard Kay said to DailyMail that William is still upset with how Andrew reportedly treated Kate early on in their relationship.

“William has long held a grudge against Andrew for being unwelcoming when he first introduced the-then Kate Middleton to the royal family and feels that his father has been too soft on him,” Kay said.
Despite the Wales couple seemingly reconciling with Andrew, since he was seen driving with to a church in Balmoral by William with Kate in the backseat back in 2023, it seems William is still peeved about little being done about Andrew and the royal family.
While it’s unclear how Andrew treated Kate in the beginning, we do know quite a few royals warmed up to Kate rather quickly, including the late Queen Elizabeth II, who gave Kate private royal lessons, per Marie Claire.

Andrew was stripped of his royal privileges, but he has remained at the Royal Lodge. However, Kay says that Charles may move him to Frogmore Cottage to appease William and Kate.
“For King Charles, forcing Andrew to move to Frogmore solves several problems at once — it sends a message to Harry that, as a private citizen and no longer a working royal, he will never be allowed back to Frogmore,” Kay noted. “It sends [a] message to Andrew that having disgraced himself, he can no longer expect to live in the grand style. And, finally, it means that a suitably grand residence can be made ready for the royals who really matter — William and Kate.”
