5-star women’s basketball recruit Jazzy Davidson breaks down final 6 schools

CHICAGO – Jazzy Davidson, the No. 2 women’s basketball recruit in the 2025 class, recently trimmed her list of finalists to six programs – and she talked to On3 about each finalist.
The 6-foot-1 wing from Happy Valley (Oregon) Clackamas High School has visited USC and set an official visit to UCLA for Oct. 11, she told On3 Friday at Nike Nationals.
Davidson has been offered by nearly all of the top programs in the country but narrowed her list to just six: UCLA, USC, TCU, Texas, UConn and Duke. She also recently eliminated South Carolina and Tennessee from her list.
Up to this point, Jazzy Davidson has only visited USC, but she hopes to visit all six programs before making her final decision on a landing spot this spring – and there are several factors Davidson is looking at when determining the best spot for her.
“Seeing the relationship that coaches have with their players,” Davidson told On3. “That’s going to be super huge for me because I want a mentor and I want somebody that has experience with where I want to go, which is winning a national championship in college.”
Jazzy Davidson talked to On3 about each of the six finalists on her list:
UCLA
“I really like the coaches, just the relationships that I’m building with them. And then I got pretty close to Sienna [Betts] over at our USA trip. So, that was cool, and I would love to play with her in college. I mean, that definitely is a factor.”
Betts out of Aurora (Colorado) Grandview is the No. 3 player in the country and is committed to the Bruins.
UConn
“I mean, it’s UConn. I feel like that’s every little girl’s dream school. The history that they have there and their coaching staff is obviously amazing. I would love to play with Sarah [Strong] too.”
Duke
“It’s the relationship I’ve built with Kara [Lawson]. I love the coaches. I’d also love to play with Ari [Robertson], who’s an incoming freshman at Duke. I feel like if you didn’t know [Kara Lawson] you’d think she’s very serious, but she’s actually really funny and loose.”
USC
“[My visit there] was 10 out of 10. It was perfect. The campus is beautiful. It’s a great school educationally, which is really important to me. I met the players and JuJu [Watkins] was my host, so just getting to meet her and getting to know the players was really cool. It’s a really cool family environment.”
Texas
“Jordan Lee is one of my really close friends and she’s an incoming freshman at Texas, so getting to play with her would be really cool. The coaches are great. It’s kind of the same thing with every other school, just the culture too. That’s the biggest thing for me with all the schools I’m still talking to.”
TCU
“I’ve been talking to Mark [Campbell] for a long time. He was coaching at Oregon when I was growing up, so I’ve had that connection since I was really young. What he’s building at TCU is amazing. He’s a great coach. His resume speaks for itself.”
