Kehlani Drops Fourth Studio Album 'CRASH'
Kehlani's hotly anticipated fourth studio album, CRASH, is here. The 13-track record, which features a slew of features from the likes of Jill Scott, Young Miko, and Omah Lay, is filled with summertime dance anthems and Lani Tsumani's soulful R&B.“A crash, in any form, is the peak height of the moment," Kehlani said in a statement. “It isn’t the anxiety of the before, or the lament after. It is the ever-so-imperative present. A space with no reminisce, no remorse, and no afterthought...At my most free, most fun, most loud, most fueled, so far.”The Oakland artist announced the record after releasing its lead single, "After Hours," which samples Cordel Burrell's "Coolie Dance Riddim," in April. The track was followed by the bop-worthy "Next 2 U," which gave way to the album's energetic MO. Additional tracks include "GrooveTheory," "What I Want," "8," "Better Not," "Vegas," the titular "Crash" and more.Kehlani has not yet disclosed official information about the tour that will support this record; however, on an Instagram livestream earlier this month, the artist confirmed that they are in the midst of planning a slew of shows for the record this fall.Listen to Kehlani's CRASH on Spotify and Apple Music below.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
