Did Mohammed Shami Take A Dig At Amit Mishra For Remarks On Virat Kohli?

Amit Mishra made quite a few headlines after he made shocking allegations against India great Virat Kohli. Mishra said that Kohli has changed over the years and is not the same person he knew before. Mishra highlighted his equation with Rohit Sharma and said that the Indian captain is still the same person and he is able to crack a joke or two with him, however, he can't do the same with Kohli. Mishra made a bold remark and said that fame and power changed Kohli as a person. Mishra also revealed that it was Gautam Gambhir who ended his feud with Virat Kohli despite being a senior, adding that Virat Kohli should have initiated the patch-up. Kohli and Gambhir got involved in a heated exchange during the IPL 2023 match between LSG and RCB. The two greats, however, hugged it out during IPL 2024. Meanwhile, India pacer Mohammed Shami recently appeared on a podcast where he spoke at length on various topics. A quote of Shami went viral where he said that many former cricketers know that whenever they say something against Virat, their name will appear on the front page of the newspapers. The fans linked it to Amit Mishra. However, Shami did not make such remarks on the podcast and the quote turned out to be a mere social media gossip."Many former cricketers know that whenever they say something against Virat, their name will appear on the front page of the newspapers the next day, so they do it deliberately," said Shami as per the rumours. Shami said that Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma kept calling and checking on him as he was away from the game due to injury. Shami was India's best performer in the ODI World Cup 2023. The pacer picked up an ankle injury during the event and underwent a right Achilles tendon surgery in London. The 33-year-old has been away from cricket since then, however, has resumed practice in the nets and seems optimistic about the comeback to the Indian team soon. "Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma are my best friends. They constantly kept calling me when I was injured," Shami said on Shubhankar Mishra's YouTube channel.
