12-Hour Concert Event In Doylestown To Benefit Stage United
DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Stage United is teaming up with Nook Nook Music School to present a 12 hour concert event on Sunday, March 9 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Puck Live by the Great Barn Brewery, 1 Printers Ally, Doylestown.The Friends of Nook Festival - billed as "A Day Of Original Music, Art, and Creative Activities For The Whole Family" - will feature a Nook Nook Student and Teacher Showcase from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a Bucks County Community Music Showcase from 6 to 11 p.m."There will be a mix of local and national music acts, and bands made up of the amazing students of Nook Nook. Plus plenty of out-of-this-world surprises," said organizers.Headlining the event will be indie rock singer/songwriter Archawah (aka Christopher David Archibald), who wrote "Familiar," the theme song for Shane Gillis's popular Netflix comedy show, "Tires."Also scheduled to perform are the Great Bonfire, the Doylestown Borough Jazz Collective, Instant Bingo, Colacore and more than 30 Nook Nook Student Bands.The cost is $10 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., $10 from 4:30 to 11:30 p.m. and $18 for an all day pass. Click here for tickets and additional information.Proceeds from the festival will benefit Stage United, a nonprofit founded by Joe Montone to elevate the local music scene by providing greater access to live music in Doylestown and beyond.Montone launched Stage United last year to create a more sustainable live music scene in his hometown of Doylestown by booking dynamic, diverse bills at new and exciting venues around town that bring the artists closer to the people."Stage United will be producing two free concerts with the Borough of Doylestown at Broad Commons Park in May.
